Foundation Protégé Photographers Document the Rebuilding of the WTC

January's opening reception for “From the Ground on Up” at the New York Academy of Art spread enthusiasm for the World Trade Center Documentary Arts Project, which aims to capture the rebuilding of the site through documentary photography and film. The exhibition served as a culminating experience for the first phase of the project and featured the first two protégés, Benjamin Jarosch and Marika Asatiani, along with their mentor at the site, Joe Woolhead.

The opening reception for “From the Ground on Up” was well-attended with a variety of organizations represented, including Newsweek, Esquire, the Ovation Channel, the Associated Press, and Sony. Guests included editors, photographers, students, and art enthusiasts, among others.
